It's time to FIGHT for what YOU want!


Brady is off to training.  I am officially a single parent for the next 12 months and yesterday was an emotional roller coaster... BUT, I worked out 2 times yesterday.  If I can find time to workout, so can you!  Right now I have an easy excuse to explain why I can't reach my goal of 200 workouts.  Well, guess what!  I'm not going to quit.  I'm not going to give up.  I'm going to fight like hell until I reach my goal!

If you are reading this and have been giving up on yourself.  STOP!  You are worth the fight.  You can do this.  So go do it!

I know I've used it before, but it goes so perfectly for my workouts right now.  I'm doing everything in my power to make running possible.  This includes taking glucosamine chondroitin and icing after cardio workouts.

Workout #64 of 2012 ~ Cardio


While attempting to get my sick toddler to nap, I decided to hop on the elliptical.  I did 2.5 miles in 35 minutes and according to the calorie counter I burned 316 calories (though the machine does not know my weight and age).  Anyways, it has been a workout productive day home with Kailee.  With my husband out of town, I had to take advantage of an opportunity to fit in two workouts in one day since the evenings the rest of this week will be more hectic without my partner to help.

I also have plans for more cardio with Gavin later playing Just Dance Kids.  I know I'm crazy-obsessed with exercise right now but I can't help it!  That's my personality!  Now off to pick up big brother.

Inspiration does not generate action. Action generates inspiration.

I read this tweet by Chris Freytag this morning and it really struck a chord with me.  The quote reads: "We should be taught not to wait for inspiration to start.  Action always generates inspiration.  Inspiration seldom generates action."

I see the truth in this quote with almost every workout I do.  Anyone who reads my blog can also see the truth because I often consider doing a second workout after my first because I feel so inspired.  I'm rarely inspired before I workout, but after, I'm almost always inspired to do more.

So how do you start when you aren't inspired?  Like I've said before, AUTOPILOT.  Put on the workout clothes, shoes and just start.  Turn down the volume in your head, and treat working out as a part of your daily routine.  Some days it will be easier, others it will be harder.  You may not be inspired before, but you most certainly will be after!
