Workout 64 of 2011 (cardio and Jillian)

Tonight I finally had enough time and energy to workout!  I did 20 minutes on my elliptical followed by circuit 2 of No More Trouble Zones.

Workout 63 of 2011 (No More Trouble Zones)

My workout today was in two parts.  I procrastinated so long that I did not have time to do the entire workout before needing to pick up Gavin from a movie so I did No More trouble Zones circuits 1, 2 & 6 before I went to get him.  When I returned, I did circuits 3, 5 and 7.  You may have noticed I skipped circuit 4.  Yes, I avoid circuit 4 at all costs.  Those surrenders are the worst idea ever!  One of my favorite aspects of this DVD is that you can mix up the workout by choosing which circuits you do in whichever order you want.  Such a smart idea!  I wish all of Jillian's DVDs had this option.

Talk about a major workout!  Had I done circuit 4, this would have been only the 6th or 7th time EVER that I had completed the entire DVD of 7 circuits.  Oh well, 6 out of 7 aint bad at all! :)

Tip of the Week ~ Drink while you eat!


If you have small children, you know that you can't give them their drink at a meal until after they've eaten a substantial part of their meal.  This is to prevent them from getting full on water and milk before getting the nutrients they need from their actual food.

This rule does not apply to adults!  I find that I often forget to drink while I eat.  When I don't drink something, I typically do not feel as satisfied from a meal and then want more.  That is one of our body's tricks.  It sometimes makes us feel hungry when really we need hydration.

By adding a glass of water to my meal, I feel full faster and am less likely to overeat.  So make sure you are drinking while you eat.  If not, add some water and see if it helps you stay on track with your healthy eating.

Workout 62 of 2011 (30 Day Shred level 1)

I was going through the Free On-Demand workouts when I noticed that The 30 Day Shred was one of the free ones.  I decided I had to return to the workout that made me realize I do enjoy exercising.  It's a great workout and I was glad to see that it's much easier this summer for me to complete it than it was last summer :).
